iSilo(TM) displays formatted hyperlinked documents. Compression is 20% better than the Palm Doc format. Text formatting includes mixed size text, colored text, underlininig, italics, bold, subscript and superscript, fixed-width font, and more.
Images can be compressed greyscale (1-bit/2-bit/4-bit) and color (8-bit/16-bit), large and scrollable, and intermixed with text. Tables can have many rows and columns, can be nested within one another, support mixed borders, and more. Display and scrolling options are highly configurable. Additional features include bookmarks, beaming, copy and paste, search, among others. Documents can be accessed through VFS on SD/MMC, compact flash, and Memory StickŪ. iSilo(TM) also has native support for the special features of the HandEra(TM) 330 and the 320x320 hi-res display of Sony CLIE devices.
With iSiloX, you can create your own iSilo documents from content on your local hard drive or from content on the Web.
Version 4.0 adds the following features:
- UX-50/UX-40 widescreen support.
- Garmin iQue 3600 expanded screen support.
- Tungsten T3 support expanded screen support (requires Palm DIA compatibility PRCs).
- Font Silo for custom fonts supporting Font Silo, FontBucket, and FontHack fonts.
- Support for new iSilo 4.x document format features such as content encoding information, inline menus, and vCard/vCalendar objects.

on Sep 8, 2003 - I have used this program for approximately two years now and have MANY other applications on my Palm (a m515 with little memory left). I can honestly say that this program is one of my BEST / MOST FREQUENTLY USED!!! Customer support continues to be superb!

I have been able to clear space on my Palm by deleting applications that I had on there to do the things that iSilo and iSiloX do by themselves!! Customer support is superb! If your reading this, your probably trying to decide whether you should purchase or not, right..........TRY IT!! You'll buy it. Thanks DC & Co. REGISTERED USER

on Jul 10, 2003 - iSilo is a very useful application backed up by exceptional technical support iSilo is incredibly useful for capturing information from web pages that you need to carry with you. The iSiloX plug in for Internet explorer is great for capturing the essential snippets of information from web pages. When working in a tech support dept I find this a useful way of capturing and keeping notes of patches and solutions to various system problems. I can look up the fix on the web, save it to my PDA with iSilo and always have that solution with me. This saves hours of time. The technical support provided by iSilo is second to none. Technical support queries are actually answered and the only bug I have ever found with the product was dealt with and fixed within 36 hours!
